Our Instructor

Karol Garcia

Owner & lead instructor

"I personally experienced the recuperative benefits of Pilates and this makes me a committed, effective instructor – and a total convert to the Pilates method!"

After completing her Industrial Engineering degree in Venezuela, Karol moved to Australia in 2006 and decided to follow her passion of working in the health and wellbeing industry. But it wasn’t until after a partially successful surgery on an injured hip, that Karol found Pilates. After months of hard work Karol regained strength, flexibility, and a balanced body.  This was the moment she decided to study and share the Pilates method  with others.

Karol completed her Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction from Pilates International Training Centre in Australia with Sally Anderson and began working at Pilates Works with Robyn Rix who is the PAA (Pilates Association Australia)'s president. A few years later she completed the Pilates Master  Mentoring Program with Joseph Pilates’ protégé, Lolita San Miguel, in Miami, Florida. During this traveling journey Karol had the opportunity of taking a class with Rael Isacowitz, founder of Basi Pilates and fell in love with BASI Pilates.

While taking on her Basi Journey, after completing the Comprehensive program, Karol kept traveling regularly to California to continue her education. Karol has completed the Mentor Program, Master I, Master II and the final level of Basi Education called Honors. Karol plans to continue studying regularly to keep deepening her knowledge of the human body and movement.

Karol helps her clients using the Pilates method to achieve long-term goals including athletic performance improvement, pain relief management, improved flexibility and balance, and spiritual and mind body connection..
